TrewMac Systems began in Aug 2005 specialising in the manufacture of RF electronics and associated metal work.
The founding directors of the company had been involved in the RF industry for 12 years before Trewmac Systems was begun.
Some of our regular manufacture items include high power RF combiners, custom precision metalwork and machining, and in-house alodine finishing. We also do mil-spec marine systems contracting, and assembly contracting to various other manufacturers.
However, Trewmac Systems is primarily home to the TE 1000 RF Vector Impedance Analyser.
The TE1000 was originally developed by Tomco Technologies (formally Tomco Electronics) in 2002 alongside their main business - RF amplifiers. They successfully created a low-cost, highly accurate impedance measurement device in the MF-HF-VHF range with many user friendly attributes.
In 2005 Tomco outsourced assembly of the TE1000 to TrewMac Systems.
In late 2009 TrewMac acquired the full manufacture and sales rights to the TE1000.
Tomco has since gone on to become world leaders in RF Amplifier technology, and as such use the TE1000 extensively throughout their workshop, for designing, measuring and constructing components in RF amplifiers.
Now a flourishing local and international export company with 17 years experience in RF and related electronics, TrewMac Systems is currently prototyping design modifications that will enhance the existing features of the TE1000 even further.
